Mumentous

Football, glue guns, moms, and a super-sized high school tradition born deep in the heart of Texas! The homecoming mum is more than just ribbons and flowers. Dive deeper into the rich history of creativity, passion, and focus and grab a signed copy of "Mumentous" by Amy J. Schultz right here at the Garland Visitor Center.

Head over to Garland City Hall and learn more about this incredible evolution of the mum at the MUMENTOUS exhibit, available beginning August 10 through October 12.

Did you know that the City of Garland is an official cultural district? 🎭🎨

Garland is one of just two cities to receive this prestigious distinction from the Texas Commission on the Arts in 2023. The Garland Visitor Center proudly showcases the Bankhead Cultural Arts District sign, a symbol of our commitment to celebrating and promoting cultural arts in the community. ❤️
